CT technologists are responsible for operating the CT equipment and ensuring that the patient is positioned correctly in order to produce the best possible images. They also work closely with radiologists, who interpret the images.
If you are interested in becoming a CT technologist, here are five steps you can take to make it happen:
1. Earn an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology
The first step towards becoming a CT technologist is to earn an Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited program. This type of program will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform imaging procedures using X-ray equipment.
2. Pass the Certification Exam

3. Complete on-the-job training

4. Maintain Continuing Education Requirements
